....Regarding rules on the course. We have been through this before, but, if you have a rule dispute whilst playing, then please play a second ball for the disputed rule and mark both scores on your card for that hole.
There was a dispute this week and two balls were not played, please follow these guidelines.
When you return to the clubhouse, please bring the rule to myself or the Vice ( John Slater) and we will make a decission for you.

The Ginger Whinger Column ! !
Well, quite a whinge this week from our old friend Ginger. He has a bee in his whingers bonnet this week over Handicaps !
The system for anyone who dosent know is this. Each week the top half of the cards are added together, which gives us the Standard Scratch for the day.Players are then in Groups. 0-6 down .1 per shot above SS. 7-16 down .2 per shot above SS. 17-28 down .3 per shot above SS. So, this week the SS was 30.1 Therefore our winner, Gordon, who had 37 points, and is in the highest group, went down 2.1 ( 7x.3) giving him a new Handicap of 19.3 exact.
There is then a 2 shot buffer zone below the SS for the day, so this week it was 27 points and below, and all those players go up .1
I am confident this is a fair system. I also monitor general play, and a couple of our higher handicap players will note that I have increased their handicaps this week, based on previous scores.
It was rumoured by members that the Ginger Whinger was on full song this week, as his old '' whinging'' buddy John Slater was back from his Hols. Despite many previous warnings, they are back sat together again after the golf doing there best to talk over the Captain at the presentation ! I can see that we will have to start introducing a fine system to keep these two in line ! !
